  about sibilo

Sibilo is a Manchester (UK) based software house that specializes in Information Management applications.

Sibilo is privately owned and has fixed assets of over £437,000. Sibilo was founded in January 2002 by 4 entrepreneurs, who have met in the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, doing research on the next generation of databases and data mining, and working on high-profile European projects. Their vast experience and know-how on systems integration provides a sound infrastructure to the company.

Sibilo’s Internet projects have always attracted media attention and continue to do so, while its e-Government compliance solution, DataSmart, is being used by a growing number of local authorities, NHS health trusts, and Police forces around Britain, as well as multinationals, to comply with the Freedom of Information Act, Environmental Information Regulations and the Data Protection Act. The company has also participated in 2 European projects to date under the FP5 programme, Parmenides and h-TechSight, as a subcontractor and successfully completed the development of text mining products for these projects.

All of the aforementioned solutions are developed using Sibilo’s unique software development model, SSDM, and the company continues to invest in improving the SSDM methodology and developing the tools to support it. Automatically generating code from UML diagrams, which works on Sibilo’s database engine, and a library of interface objects, which work on the generated code, significantly reduces the time for application development, allowing Sibilo to focus on understanding customer requirements better and to provide an excellent customer service. Sibilo also runs a Quality Management System and it is ISO 9001:2000 certified.

Sibilo is empowered by the synergies it creates with its business partners. The company expands to new markets through its resellers, collaborates with universities on Research and Development to remain on higher grounds, and works with a Public Relations company to sustain its image during a period of rapid but solid growth. The company’s team of experts also provide consultancy on a wide range of Information Management practices.
