SSDM
We develop Information Management software up to 12 times faster than the competition and it never fails!
Through the years, we have developed a model for rapid application development and tools to support it. We now let our tools take care of the database design and most of the software development work for us while we focus on designing business applications of the future.
During an interview at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2004, Bill Gates was asked to give his vision of computing in the year 2014. He said that more model-driven approaches to software development would reduce the cost and complexity of code. He described the key breakthrough in software coding as writing less code. To support his vision, Microsoft bought Visio for $1.3 billion in 1999; IBM bought Rational Software for $2.1 billion in 2002; Borland bought TogetherSoft for $185 million in 2002; Computer Associates bought most of the old CASE tools (ADW, Composer, Erwin, IEF, ObjectTeam, Obsydian, Paradigm Plus, Synon 2/E, Teamwork).
What Mr Gates describes as breakthrough is just everyday business for us. Coming from an academic background, we started working on our software development model (SSDM) years ago, implemented the first CASE tool for it, Sibilo Software Development Environment (SSDE), in 2003, and already have a roadmap for the future of this technology.
